Welcome!

Hi!

Welcome to my blog! You will find my favorite parts of life are cooking (well....lets be honest...food for that matter), travelling, checking things off my bucket list, reading, friends & family, trying to make a difference and my pup Lady. More importantly, my mission in life is to balance all these things with the fast pace of New York City and a job which requires multitasking at its finest.

As I learn this new blogging world, I hope to share some great tips I have learned along the way, and improve your lifestyle in at least one tiny way!

My philosophy on a few things:

1. Cooking: Who has time to prepare these intricate fancy recipes you see on Food Network or in cookbooks like Southern Living requiring you to slice, dice, food process, hunt down spices you have never heard of etc.? I have spent the better part of a year taking recipes like this and creating shortcuts to make cooking as quick and easy as possible! And even better...HEALTHIER!! Easy substitutions like Splenda instead of Sugar will make all the difference in eating food that tastes great that you don't have to feel guilty about!

2. Travel: The list of places I want to go is endless. I've been lucky enough to travel to a good chunk of those places already. How you might ask can I afford to travel like this? Planning, planning, planning! I will share all my tips I have acquired to help you plan that dream vacation and make it happen!

3. Reading: Folks, there is nothing better to stimulate your brain, eliminate distractions, and exercising that mind of yours. I've been given a pretty long list of books recommended to me, and I will share those with you as well. We are living in a world that has such extreme global crises that barely get talked about, so any awareness we can share is a step in the right direction.

And what do these have in common? They all can contribute to living a well balanced life!

I hope you each feel free to leave comments, notes, and ideas to share with the rest of us! In our current social media dominant world, we are blessed to have things like Pinterest, Twitter, and places like this to help us ladies out!

Cheers....and the adventure begins!
